FAQ

Common Questions About This Tour

How do I get from Hangzhou to Wuzhen?
We handle all transport by private vehicle. The drive takes about 1.5 hours. We can also arrange scenic stops along the way through the water town corridor.
Is Xitang or Tongji better than Wuzhen?
Each has its appeal. Wuzhen is the most famous for good reason. We often recommend combining Wuzhen's west side (evening & night) with a quieter dawn visit to Xitang or Tongji for contrast.
Can I visit a Longjing tea farm and do a tea tasting?
Yes — we include a private Longjing (Dragon Well) tea garden visit with a professional tasting session. The terraces above Hangzhou are beautiful year-round, with April–May being the harvest season.
Is Hangzhou suitable for first-time China visitors?
Very much so. Hangzhou has a relaxed pace, excellent English signage, good international hotels, and one of China's most celebrated landscapes. It's often described as the most liveable city in China.
What's the best month to visit Zhejiang?
April–May for spring blossoms and tea harvest. September–October for clear autumn skies and comfortable temperatures. Avoid national holidays (Golden Week) when crowds peak.

What Our Travelers Say

★★★★★

“Wuzhen at night with lanterns reflecting on the canals — pure poetry. The Longjing tea picking was surprisingly meditative. I never understood tea culture until I picked leaves myself at sunrise.”

🇫🇷 Antoine (France)
★★★★★

“West Lake lived up to every legend. We took a private boat at 7am before the crowds, and the mist over the water was exactly like a Chinese ink painting.”

🇰🇷 Jihoon (Korea)
★★★★☆

“The Longjing tea master who taught us was the real deal — third generation tea farmer. He showed us the difference between spring and autumn harvest leaves. I've been drinking tea completely wrong my whole life.”
