Common Questions About This Tour

What makes Lishui different from other Zhejiang destinations?
Lishui is Zhejiang's least-visited and most pristine region — 80% forest coverage, She ethnic villages, terraced fields, and waterfalls without the crowds. It's where locals from Hangzhou go to escape.
What is the She ethnic minority?
The She are one of China's 55 ethnic minority groups, concentrated in Zhejiang and Fujian. They have a distinct language, costume, and bamboo dance tradition. Our local guide has She heritage and can share authentic stories.
What outdoor activities are available?
Options include: bamboo raft on the Oujiang River, waterfall hikes at Nanjiandong, terrace photography at Yunhe, and night sky observation at high altitude. We adapt based on your preference for adventure vs. relaxation.
Is this good for solo nature photographers?
Excellent. The Yunhe terraces and Nanjiandong waterfall gorge are among Zhejiang's most photogenic locations. We time arrivals for optimal light and provide local knowledge of hidden angles.
How far is Lishui from Hangzhou?
About 2.5 hours by high-speed train to Lishui Station, or 3 hours by private car via the scenic mountain route. We can start the journey from either Hangzhou or Wenzhou.
